I recently had to step away from my test case - this blog project, which is a bit of a work-play thing for me - in order to actually do some real-world work. My company received an RFP from a major organization a week before the proposal was due. Because this was such a big project for a big organization, we couldn't rely on boilerplate proposals. So we had a week to put together a very comprehensive proposal from scratch.

Hello everybody

I hope someone can answer my small but complex problem:

My question:

The firm I now work for concentrates on Office Automation. Their current host-based solution is written in VBA. Some files have to be copied into/onto the system and when you run word now, you get a mask, programmed in VBA, where you can choose recipient, signature, if its a letter or a bill. The tool helps firms to hold on CI/CD, since the user at the end has only the possibility to change the "text" of the letter, not the headline, the logo or these things.

We now search for a webbased solution, where the user goes "maybe" onto a sharepoint server, does his customizations there, maybe in a mask, an then clicks on ok.

The objective is a mask on sharepoint, the user choosing his preferences, clicking on OK and get back his document as he does now with the VBA.

Is there any chance to get this project running? Has anyone collected any expierience?

Your help would be very much appriciated!!!
